Rulers of Fujairah and UAQ pardon prisoners ahead of National Day

FUJAIRAH // Eighty-three prisoners have been pardoned by the Fujairah Ruler, Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, to mark the country’s 45th National Day

Sheikh Hamad ordered the release of the men who are of different nationalities and have shown good conduct while serving their jail terms.

Brigadier Mohammed Ahmed bin Ghanim Al Kaabi, Commander-in-Chief of Fujairah Police, praised the gesture of Sheikh Hamad, and hoped that his clemency would be a motivation for those released to begin a new life.

In Umm Al Quwain, Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, the emirate’s ruler, ordered the release of a number of prisoners to mark National Day.

Sheikh Saud expressed the hope that the pardoned inmates would make a new start in society.
