Next month’s event, the region’s first music industry trade show, will host the Emirates World Exclusive Quincy Jones Seminars, led by celebrities and industry pioneers.
Jones has worked with stars such as Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra and Diana Ross and produced Michael Jackson’s Thriller, the biggest-selling album ever.
Named by Time magazine as one of the six most influential jazz artists of the 20th Century, his career spans six decades.
With 27 Grammy Awards and a record 79 Grammy nominations, he will offer his knowledge of the music industry to an expected audience of thousands.
“Dubai Music Week is a new concept to the region and aims to bring talent, management and technology together, furthering the potential in the region and providing a platform for the growth of the industry,” Jones said.
“Not only is there an opportunity to network and learn from key music industry leaders and brands, there is also a platform to enjoy the industry we work in through performances.”
Dubai Music Week will run from September 24 to 29 at the World Trade Centre.
