Prosecutors have lost an appeal over the acquittal of a man who was accused of sexual assault and theft.
The Bangladeshi, 39, spent more than three months in detention awaiting trail before he appeared in the lower court to deny charges last July.
He was accused of "hugging a woman from behind" and stealing Dh500 from her in a car park in Al Nahda, Dubai, but was acquitted by the lower court due to lack of evidence.
Prosecutors appealed, seeking a conviction, but were not successful.
