AJMAN // Police have seized two million counterfeit HP printer ink cartridges with a purported value of Dh147 million from two warehouses in Al Jurf industrial area and a villa in Al Rawda.
The details of three Chinese nationals, who are no longer in the UAE, have been circulated to Interpol in connection with the find, said Brig Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, commander-in-chief of Ajman Police.
Sheikh Sultan said the counterfeit cartridges, which had been imported to the UAE, will be stored in a warehouse until they can be destroyed.
“Fake goods harm the reputation of the real company and lead it to lose a lot of money as well as harming the consumer in terms of malfunction or affecting people’s health,” he said.
