Parking spaces painted pink for Ajman Civil Defence's female employees

The spots are near the entrance of the building for the employee's convenience.

Parking spots outside Ajman Civil Defence headquarters have been painted pink to reserve the spaces for female employees.

The move intends to relieve the women of the trouble of searching for a place to park, according to First Lieutenant Mohammad Al Muhairi, Head of Media and Public Relations.

He said the pink parking spots - which are near the entrance to the building - were introduced as part of efforts from Ajman Civil Defence to provide the employees with maximum safety and happiness standards.

“We are working to provide female employees with all their needs to ease and facilitate conditions for them and their movement in and out of the department,” Lt Al Muhairi said.

Future plans include initiatives that will increase the participation of women in decision-making.
