Nearly 18 tonnes of clothes have been collected for Syrian refugees as part of the Show Compassion campaign launched in Dubai this month.
Also called Tarahamu, the initiative was launched by Oasis Mall under the directives of President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Clothes were donated at set collection points in the mall from January 6 to 13. Emirates Red Crescent will deliver the clothes to Syrian refugee camps.
