JERUSALEM// More than 210,000 Ramadan iftar and suhoor meals have been provided to people fasting at Al Aqsa Mosque from some of the city’s best restaurants.
The UAE’s Human Appeal International made the donation and planned to provide an additional 100,000 suhoor meals for worshippers at the mosque.
The organisation’s commissioner in the West Bank, Ibrahim Rashid, said the meals will be for worshippers marking the Laylat al-Qadr or the night of destiny.
Tens of thousands of meals for poor families will also be handed out in the West Bank.
