ABU DHABI // Two more suspected members of the "Jerboas of the Dark" gang have been arrested.
The Pakistani gang is accused of stealing cash, copper and diesel worth Dh1.8 million from companies in Mafraq and Mussaffah over a period of two months before five members were arrested on June 7 in a police sting dubbed "Jerboas of the Dark".
The two latest arrests are of AA, 26, a truck driver, and SB, 22, also a driver.
Police believe the gang had access to inside information about the premises they targeted.
Col Rashid Bourshid, chief of Criminal investigation Department (CID) at Abu Dhabi Police, said that the case was particularly intriguing because the gang would sell copper and diesel to the companies before stealing back the very same materials.
Members of the gang wore masks and gloves to carry out the raids of companies in the capital's industrial zones. Some would ransack the company's premises while the others would tie up the security guards and disable the surveillance cameras.
Col Rashid Bourshid urged company owners to ensure that doors and windows are locked after working hours, avoid leaving cash inside their permises, and employ professional security guards.

WHAT ARE NFTs?
Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are tokens that represent ownership of unique items. They allow the tokenisation of things such as art, collectibles and even real estate.
An NFT can have only one official owner at one time. And since they're minted and secured on the Ethereum blockchain, no one can modify the record of ownership, not even copy-paste it into a new one.

2018 ICC World Twenty20 Asian Western Sub Regional Qualifier
Event info: The tournament in Kuwait this month is the first phase of the qualifying process for sides from Asia for the 2020 World T20 in Australia.
