DUBAI // The wife of missing UK seaman Timmy MacColl has met the Dubai Police officers who are leading the hunt for him.
Rachael MacColl, 25, was accompanied to yesterday’s meeting by her uncle, Neil Cunningham, and members of the UK’s Royal Navy police force.
The meeting at Dubai Police headquarters started about 10am and continued into the afternoon. Mrs MacColl flew in on Monday with Mr Cunningham and her grandfather, Jim Cunningham.
Mr MacColl, from Hampshire, disappeared in Dubai on May 27 last year after his ship, HMS Westminster, docked at Port Rashid.
He was last seen stepping into a taxi alone outside the Rock Bottom Cafe at the Regent Palace Hotel in Bur Dubai just after 2am.
The couple have three children – Cameron, 7, Skye, 4, and baby Eriskay, born in September.
