SHARJAH // A man has been caught trying to rob a money exchange while wearing an abaya and niqab, police say.
They said the Arab man entered the shop armed with a wooden baton and threatened staff before being chased away, in an incident that was caught on security video.
Col Ibrahim Al Ajil, director of Sharjah CID, said the man was a former employee who had been fired from his job several months before the incident.
He urged businesses to make sure they had adequate security systems in place and install CCTV cameras.
The case has been passed to Sharjah Public Prosecution.
