ABU DHABI // A man established a platoon in Libya that helped bomb the UAE embassy in the country, the Federal Supreme Court heard this week.
MH, 27, a Libyan is accused of joining the Libyan Dawn Organisation, a terrorist group that is backed and financially supported by the Muslim Brotherhood and Ansar Al Sharia group.
During the hearing, witness ST, said the defendant had created the Malek Platoon, that consisted of 150 trained fighters.
The platoon bombed the UAE Embassy in Libya on November 13 last year, the witness said, adding that MH was in the UAE at the time.
The second witness, MM, said MH received money that he distributed among the troops to carry out their terrorist missions.
The amounts of money was not disclosed in court.
The case was adjourned to December 21.
