Man jailed for sneaking into woman’s villa and touching her while she slept

Bangladeshi man started touching Russian housewife's thigh after breaking into her property, Dubai court hears.

DUBAI // A suspected serial pervert was jailed for three months on Thursday after being caught sneaking into a Russian woman’s villa and touching her as she slept.

Bangladeshi Z Z, 26, is also believed to be the culprit in several incidents in the Green Community last year.

The Russian housewife said in her testimony that in October last year she was sleeping in her bed when she felt a hand touching her leg, moving up towards her thigh.

“At first I thought my son came to sleep next to me but then when the hand started touching my thighs intimately, I knew it wasn’t him, so I turned around to see a man on his knees next to my bed,” the woman said. “I screamed loud and he crawled out of the room.”

Her husband, who was sleeping in a different room because he was unwell rushed in to see his wife and then called police.

Earlier this month, Z Z had denied the charge at Dubai Criminal Court.

“I did not enter the villa nor do I know where it’s located,” he said. “I have been accused of molestation and trespassing in five separate cases, your honour.”

Police officer M M, 35, said they had received several reports during October about a man who would sneak into villas in the Green Community and sometimes touch female residents.

“An investigating team was formed and we managed to get an accurate description of the defendant,” M M said. “We found that he had been referred previously to prosecution on a trespassing case, so we got his details and arrested him.”

He added that a security guard at a villa where the defendant had trespassed earlier was called to identify the defendant and he confirmed they had the right man when shown a photograph.

“When we interrogated him, he denied at first then changed his plea and confessed, saying that he trespassed in about 14 villas because he loves touching women’s bodies,” M M said.

Z Z will be deported after completing his jail term.
