Man arrested in RAK for trying to sell 27,000 narcotic pills and 1kg of heroin

RAS AL KHAIMAH // An Emirati man has been caught trying to sell 27,000 narcotic pills and 1kg of heroin, police have said.

Brigadier General Ibrahim Ali Kaptan, head of the anti-narcotics department at RAK Police, said his team received a tip-off about the man and that he was monitored before being swooped on and caught red-handed with the illicit drugs.

He said the man has been referred to prosecutors to be charged.

Major General Ali Abdullah Alwan Al Nuaimi, the chief commander of RAK Police, praised the efforts of the Ministry of Interior in supporting the fight against drugs and said his force was keen to implement ministry strategies on reducing organised crimes.
