Man accused of attempting to rape 15-year-old boy

The man has denied charges of attempting ro rape the 15-year-old Pakistani boy at his villa.

DUBAI// A man molested and attempted to rape a 15-year-old Pakistani boy after threatening him with an axe, a court heard.

Emirati MT, 30, denied the charges when he appeared at Dubai Criminal Court on Monday.

“No, it didnt happen,” he said.

The victim said that at around 12.30am on September 23 he was walking to his house in the Al Muhaisnah area when he was surprised to see the defendant, who was holding an axe and appeared drunk.

“I know him because we rented the house from his sister,” he said.

“He pulled me from my clothes and took me to his room in his nearby villa.”

The boy said that MT asked him to take off his shorts and when he refused he struck him with the axe’s wooden handle.

MT then tried to rape him, but the boy resisted his advances, so the man molested him instead.

“When he started putting on his clothes, I ran away,” said the boy who headed straight to his mother and told her.

The boy’s father testified to say that he was awoken by the screams of the boy’s mother.

“I asked her and she informed me of the incident. I went to the defendant’s room but it was locked and he was not there,” said the 47-year-old father.

Court records showed that the defendant had a record of kidnap, sexual assault, consuming alcohol and theft.

The next hearing will be on January 20 to appoint a lawyer for the defendant.
