ABU DHABI // Three customers hit the jackpot with their UAE bank, becoming the lucky grand prize winners in the First Gulf Bank's annual Abu Dhabi Credit Card draw.
Haresh Kumar received the keys to a luxury two-bedroom sea-view apartment in Ocean Terrace on the capital's Al Reem Island, while Karim Nakhle and Salim Akhtar both drove off in brand new Audis.
"I am pleased to have won this outstanding sea view apartment which is part of one of Abu Dhabi's most prestigious areas," Mr Kumar said.
Prizes worth a grand total of Dh6 million were awarded in 2012 as part of the bank's reward scheme.
"I'm thrilled to be a winner of one of the Grand Prizes in FGB's draw," said Mr Nakhle, who received the Audi R8 Quattro. "My Platinum credit card already gives me access to a wide variety of benefits, so winning this car is the icing on the cake."
Recently, the bank's jackpot prize of Dh1m was given out as part of Emirati Al Awwal Islamic Certificate's quarterly draw.
The first daily draw for the bank's FirstSavings programme also commenced recently, which rewarded 5 lucky customers with Dh5,000.

Is it worth it? We put cheesecake frap to the test.
The verdict from the nutritionists is damning. But does a cheesecake frappuccino taste good enough to merit the indulgence?
My advice is to only go there if you have unusually sweet tooth. I like my puddings, but this was a bit much even for me. The first hit is a winner, but it's downhill, slowly, from there. Each sip is a little less satisfying than the last, and maybe it was just all that sugar, but it isn't long before the rush is replaced by a creeping remorse. And half of the thing is still left.
The caramel version is far superior to the blueberry, too. If someone put a full caramel cheesecake through a liquidiser and scooped out the contents, it would probably taste something like this. Blueberry, on the other hand, has more of an artificial taste. It's like someone has tried to invent this drink in a lab, and while early results were promising, they're still in the testing phase. It isn't terrible, but something isn't quite right either.
So if you want an experience, go for a small, and opt for the caramel. But if you want a cheesecake, it's probably more satisfying, and not quite as unhealthy, to just order the real thing.
