Islamic new year 2011 holiday announced for December 1

Thursday, December 1 will be a fully paid public holiday for private and public sectors.

The Government has announced that Thursday, December 1 will be a public holiday to mark the Islamic new year.

UAE ministries and public institutions will resume work on Sunday, December 4.
