In pictures: Dubai Police take their Lamborghini and Ferrari out for a spin

  Capable of reaching 350kph, the Aventador is “in line with Dubai’s reputation as the city of luxury services�, the force said earlier this month after its launch.

• 

  At first, it was unclear if these cars were going to be used for promotional purposes only or they will be their new piece of crime-fighting equipment.

• 

  A police spokesman said that the Aventador was “specially modified in terms of power, speed and resilience. Its body and chassis are specially modified as well�.

  Belgium’s police have a Gallardo and a Porsche 911, although both have been used solely for promotional purposes.

  But a week later, Dubai Police added the Ferrari FF - which has a V12 engine, making it go from 0 to 100kph in 3.7 seconds - to their fleet.
