DUBAI // In most cases, the company hiring you will do the majority of paperwork needed to sponsor your wife.
The key thing is to have your marriage certificate attested before going through the process. This will mean that the certificate is attested by the foreign ministry in your home country and your embassy in the UAE.
"To bring your wife on to your visa is actually quite easy," said Samir Kantaria, head of employment at the law firm Al Tamimi & Company.
"After you have your marriage certificate attested and notarised, you go through the same process as for anyone who is getting a visa here."
Women, however, can only sponsor their husband if they are employed as a doctor, engineer or teacher.
