The UAE National Council of Tourism and Antiquities held its third meeting of experts to discuss a preliminary list of heritage sites to compete for a spot on Unesco's World Heritage List.
The UAE sites under consideration include Dubai Creek, also known as Khor Dubai, which is considered for a 2014 application, the Cultural Square in Sharjah (2017), and Umm Al Quwain's "heritage houses" (2016).
Al Ain was recognised as a world heritage site last year.
