Sweet factory in someone’s home is shut down

Municipality inspectors found that the factory had no licence and workers had not received vaccines or underwent medical tests.

UMM AL QUWAIN // A sweet factory inside someone’s home has been closed by the municipality’s public health department for violating requirements.

Factory staff had not undergone medical tests and did not receive vaccines, in addition to the home not having a licence to do such business.

Ghanim Ali Saeed, head of Umm Al Quwain’s Public Health and Environment department, ordered the confiscation and safe disposal of the sweets, and the factory owner was issued a fine for doing food business in an environment that does not meet health requirements.
