SHARJAH // The Sharjah Ladies Club’s Night Neon Run will take place this weekend.
The race, being held on Friday, offers distances of 2, 5 and 10kms and is open to runners aged over 15.
It starts from Sharjah University City and hopes to attract more than 500 women. Registration will remain open at the club’s reception or on the website until Thursday.
The first edition of the race won Fitness Event of the Year at the UAE’s FIT Awards 2014.
Khawla Al Serkal, director of Sharjah Ladies Club, said the event aims to promote running to ladies and to deliver a message to the community that sport is an exciting and healthy activity.
Training sessions will be held at the club on Wednesday from 6pm to 7pm to prepare ladies for the race.
