The Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority issued 11 warnings to companies that did not conform with its standards and requirements and destroyed 8 kilograms of food during an inspection campaign carried out at firms that supply school canteens.
The campaign aimed to ensure the safety and security of food products supplied to schools and the compliance of companies and workers with public health requirements and food control standards.
A total of 22 food companies were inspected in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western Region, reported Al Ittihad, the Arabic language sister paper of The National.
