RAS AL KHAIMAH // Almost 600 breaches have been discovered at food establishments in the emirate following a series of inspections.
The Public Health and Environment Department at RAK Municipal Department issued 580 breaches and 56 warnings to food establishments, Al Ittihad, the Arabic-language sister paper of The National, reported.
Some of the breaches noted were staff working without proper health insurance cards, and unsanitary conditions in kitchens.
Municipal staff inspected 4,207 establishments, said Monzer Al Zaabi, the director of the public health department.
