Members of the public will be able to follow in the footsteps of world leaders such as Japan's Shinzo Abe and Pakistan's Imran Khan next week when Abu Dhabi's Presidential Palace opens up to visitors.

A building in the palace compound, named Qasr Al Watan, will be available for tours as the UAE seeks to boost cultural understanding.

The palace has hosted numerous world leaders in recent years with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed pictured greeting dignitaries from all corners of the globe, as well as Pope Francis just last month.
