Hundreds of kilos of heroin and crystal meth have been seized in a huge drugs bust by Abu Dhabi Police.
More than 450kg of drugs were recovered from a truck in an operation that led to 14 arrests.
The criminal gang was monitored during a months-long investigation called ‘Death Network’, which resulted in what is thought to be one of the biggest drug hauls in the UAE this year.
In a video shared by Abu Dhabi Police, officers were seen removing packets of the drugs stashed inside the vehicle. Officers used metal grinders to access the hidden compartments.
According to police, 11 of the suspects were found in possession of 189 kilograms of drugs. A further 261kg of drugs were later located in a warehouse in the emirate.
