ABU DHABI // Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, met with the president of Kyrgyzstan on Thursday at Al Mushrif Palace.

Sheikh Mohammed and Almazbek Atambayev discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, and the importance of developing ties particularly in trade exchange and infrastructure, state news agency Wam reported.

“The UAE’s ties with other friendly countries, which are based on mutual understanding, cooperation and commitment to humanitarian responsibility, have made an impressive impact, and have left us with an abundance of regard and respect, with a prominent place among nations and peoples,” Sheikh Mohammed said during the meeting.

He emphasised that the country, under the leadership of Sheikh Khalifa, the President, looks forward to taking its ties with Kyrgyzstan to a new level of growth and prosperity.

Mr Atambayev said his country was interested in strengthening ties with the UAE and creating new opportunities for joint projects that serve mutual interests.

He expressed his thanks and appreciation to the UAE for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to him and his delegation.
