ABU DHABI // King Abdullah II of Jordan met with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, on Monday to discuss issues affecting the region.
Fighting extremism and terrorism and providing peace, stability and security were among the topics discussed, reported state news agency Wam.
The discussions also centred on promoting and enhancing relations between the two countries.

Both Sheikh Mohammed and King Abdullah stressed ties between the UAE and Jordan were strong.
Also present at the meeting were Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed, national security adviser, Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed, chairman of the State Security Department, Ali Al Shamsi, deputy secretary general of the National Security Council, Mohammed Al Mazrouei, under secretary of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court and Lt Gen Isa Al Mazrouei, deputy chief of staff of the Armed Forces.
King Abdullah is on a working visit to the UAE.
