Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed meets with Belarusian President

ABU DHABI // Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, met with President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus, who is currently on a visit to the UAE, in Abu Dhabi on Monday.

Sheikh Mohammed welcomed President Lukashenko and his delegation and discussed with him ways to enhance friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting, attended by Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed, National Security Adviser, also reviewed means to enhance bilateral cooperation, especially in economic, commercial and investment fields.

Sheikh Mohammed said that under the leadership of President Sheikh Khalifa, the UAE seeks to develop ties with friendly countries.

He applauded the UAE’s progressive relations with Belarus, thanks to the keen interest of the two countries’ leadership.

President Lukashenko said he was looking forward to deepening economic and investment cooperation and benefiting from the UAE’s development experience.

The two sides exchanged views on a number of topics of mutual interest, as well as current regional and international developments.

Also present were Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council, Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, senior officials, and members of the delegation accompanying the Belarusian President, reported Wam, the state news agency.
