ABU DHABI // Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed has been briefed on the services and facilities provided to pilgrims from the UAE during the annual Haj season.

At a meeting at Al Bahr Palace on Tuesday, Dr Mohammed Al Kaabi, chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, informed the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces about plans and programmes the authority intends to implement in the future.

“Serving pilgrims is a responsibility, honour and duty that require all to double their efforts, commitment and dedication in delivering the best services to pilgrims,” Sheikh Mohammed said while praising the efforts of the mission.

He urged the mission to continue providing services to pilgrims, from their registration to their safe return home, and to work as a team to enable pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and safely.

Dr Al Kaabi praised the interest of President Sheikh Khalifa in aiding pilgrims and commended Sheikh Mohammed’s follow-up about their well-being, reported Wam, the state news agency.
