Saudi Arabia’s ambitious economic vision makes it a key player in shaping the future of the global economy, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said on Wednesday.

The Vice President and Ruler of Dubai made his remarks after attending the second day of the Future Investment Initiative in Riyadh.

Sheikh Mohammed attended the special session held by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, Bahraini Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Al Hariri.

Earlier, Sheikh Mohammed toured the venue, the King Abdulaziz International Conference Centre. He was accompanied by president of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and chairman and chief executive of Emirates Airline and group Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed; Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future, Mohammed Al Gergawi; among others.

The conference began on Tuesday with 25 preliminary agreements for deals worth $50 billion (Dh184bn).

Representatives from across the business world are attending the forum, which is a way for the country to encourage international partners to do business in Saudi Arabia and to tell the world about its Vision 2030 programme.
