DUBAI // Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, has met with Giorgi Kvirikashvili, the Prime Minister of Georgia to discuss bilaterial ties.
Sheikh Mohammed welcomed Mr Kvirikashvili and his delegation at Dubai World Trade Centre on Monday, according to Wam, the state news agency.
Mr Kvirikashvili spoke of the desire to build cultural, tourism and investment links between his country and the UAE in a variety of fields to benefit the people of both nations.
Sheikh Mohammed said the UAE welcomed all nations and people to build relationships between the Emirati people and countries of the world.
Tourists, businessmen, investors, companies, and intellectuals who come to the UAE spread happiness and achieve common interests, staying clear of discrimination based on race, religion or geography, he said.
The meeting was held in the presence of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, the Crown Prince of Dubai, and Lt Gen Sheikh Saif bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
The talks were attended by officials including Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of the Emirates Group, Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy and Reem Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation.
