Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid among the guests at mass weddings in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI // Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, was among many royals and notables to attend the weddings of Al Nahyan and Al Qasimi family members at Mushrif Palace on Thursday.

Under the patronage of President Sheikh Khalifa, the occasion was also attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai.

Another 110 Emirati couples were also married across the emirates.

As part of the happy occasion:

Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan wed the daughter of Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, the Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region;

Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan married the daughter of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region;

Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan wed the daughter of Sheikh Saeed bin Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan;

And Sheikh Abdelaziz bin Saud bin Khalid Al Qasimi married the daughter of Sheikh Tahnoun bin Saeed bin Shakhbout Al Nahyan.

Among the distinguished guests were Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman; Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Ruler of Fujairah; Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Ruler of Umm Al Quwain; and Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.

Many of the country’s Deputy Rulers, senior officials and diplomats also joined guests and relatives of the couples.
