Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received a phone call from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who offered his condolences on the death of Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed.
During the call, on Thursday, the Saudi Crown Prince extended his condolences to President Sheikh Khalifa, the Al Nahyan family and the people of the UAE.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed thanked him for his call, wishing him good health and the Kingdom continued security and stability, reported state news agency Wam.
On Thursday, Sheikh Mohamed received condolences at Al Mushrif Palace in Abu Dhabi.
The President of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani, was among the visitors, who also included delegations from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain and Ethiopia.
The officials also offered their condolences to the son's of Sheikh Sultan: Sheikh Dr Hazza bin Sultan and Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Sultan.
Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed, the President's Representative, died while receiving medical treatment abroad on Monday. He was buried in Al Bateen Cemetery on Wednesday.
Condolences will be received at Al Mushrif Palace until 5.40pm on Friday.
