RAS AL KHAIMAH // Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, has directed that a social service foundation be made into a humanitarian group.

The decision gives a new identity to the former Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi Foundation for Maintenance and Social Services, making it the Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi Foundation for Humanitarian Work.

Ahmed Al Amash, chairman of the foundation’s board of directors, said it aimed to carry out humanitarian work and provide services to citizens.

He said the foundation aims to alleviate housing and living condition difficulties for the needy, saying it has launched a preventative maintenance programme for homes of the needy.

Seventy-five homes were renovated in the past four months through the programme, in different areas of RAK.
