A third Covid-19 testing centre has been opened in Fujairah.

Doctors, nurses and administrative staff from the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company, SEHA, will be employed at the centre, in Wahla.

Plans to set up more free testing sites are in the pipeline by the Ministry of Health and Prevention and Fujairah government, WAM reported on Thursday.

The first two centres in the emirate were opened in Masafi and Al Bidyah by health authorities in August.

Sheikh Hamad bin Mohamed Al Sharqi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, gave the directives to launch these testing facilities.

He had also instructed health officials on July 21 to test citizens and residents in the emirate free of charge.

Centres offering free tests are also open in other emirates, including Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah.
