A joint military exercise involving the UAE and the US has been hailed a success after it finished on Monday.

Armed forces from both nations sharpened their skills in a range of combat scenarios during the Native Fury operation in Abu Dhabi.

The final day of the training drill was attended by John Rakolta, the US ambassador to the UAE.

"The exercise demonstrated the combat and professionalism of both forces in applying the concept of command and control, to jointly hit their targets with accuracy and effectiveness," said Brig Tariq Al Zaabi, director of Native Fury.

The operation was key to continuing efforts by the allies to bring about regional and international stability.
