Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises Emiratis to avoid Lebanon travel

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs this morning advised citizens against travel to Lebanon and told Emiratis in the country to leave immediately.

The Charge D’Affaires in Lebanon, Hamad Mohammed Al Junaibi, said the reason for the decision was “current events and the unstable security there”, according to state news agency Wam.

He urged Emiratis citizens to coordinate with the UAE embassy in Beirut to facilitate their departure.

He asked UAE citizens in Lebanon to contact 009 6118 570 000 or to contact the operations department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 02 444 9600, and urged citizens to comply with the warning until further notice.

More information is available from travel advice page on the ministry's website.
