An awareness campaign on the illegal ivory trade will be conducted by the Ministry of Environment and Water between August 2 and 13 at Abu Dhabi International Airport.
The ministry has linked up with Abu Dhabi Customs and the International Fund For Animal Welfare to educate travellers on ivory trafficking and the legalities involved.
The campaign comes in response to an increasing number of seizures and confiscation of products, including animals, plants, ivory, leather and sandalwood.
