ABU DHABI // The Federal Electricity and Water is planning to build 25 power plants and increase the output of 17 more next year.
Fewa’s Dh1.3 billion plan includes installing cables to connect the stations with networks and replacing overhead lines with ground cables.
Mohammed Saleh, director general of Fewa, said that two stations were almost finished and the other 23 will be completed during 2016.
He said the plan includes five new plants in Umm Al Quwain and 10 new ones in Ras Al Khaimah.
