An Emirati soldier has died in Saudi Arabia after the car he was travelling in overturned. Corporal Abdul Rahman Al Baloushi was in Saudi taking part in the Saudi-led Arab coalition, Operation Restoring Hope, the state news agency Wam reported.
Last Saturday, three other soldiers serving in Operation Restoring Hope were killed in the line of duty. First Corporals Juma Al Hammadi, Khalid Al Shehhi, and Fahim Al Habsi were buried on Sunday. Hundreds of mourners attended the funerals.
Taking to Twitter to pay tribute, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs, said: “You have brought tears to our eyes and made us hold our heads up high.”
