ABU DHABI // Almost 2,500 tons of goods have been sent to 18 countries this year as part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Charity and Humanitarian Establishment’s aid programme.
The charity sent 2,464 tons worth Dh10.5 million in 29 shipments, said Ibrahim Boumelha, deputy chairman of trustees.
The shipments contained food, clothing, shoes, medical supplies, wheelchairs for the disabled and furniture, reported Al Ittihad, The National's sister newspaper.
It also contained electrical generators, water pumps, and a large number of computers.
