Dubai Police is suspending its 15 in-person services at four stations to reduce face-to-face interaction with the public.
Walk-in services like reporting bounced cheques, handing or claiming found items, submitting reports of minor traffic accidents will be discontinued at Bur Dubai, Al Raffaa, Naif, and Al Rashidiya police stations.
Starting March 20, visitors can use these services online and via the smart app of Dubai police.
Al Qusais, ports, Al Barsha, and Jebel Ali police stations will continue to provide these services until the end of Expo 2020.
“This decision is part of the force’s strategic plan to transform its services to smart ones and reduce the number of people coming to stations by 80 per cent in 2020,” said Dr Maj Gen Abdulquddos Al Obaidly, assistant to the commander-in-chief for excellence and pioneering affairs at Dubai Police.
“All suspended services are available on the force’s smart channels including the police smart app, official website, and the Smart Police Stations (SPS) located across the emirate.”
Labour dispute
The insured employee may still file an ILOE claim even if a labour dispute is ongoing post termination, but the insurer may suspend or reject payment, until the courts resolve the dispute, especially if the reason for termination is contested. The outcome of the labour court proceedings can directly affect eligibility.
