ABU DHABI // The Department of Municipal Affairs has set out a series of plans to make public services more responsive, streamline operations and continue to improve on satisfaction rates that hit 85 per cent last year.

To reduce paperwork and speed up services, the DMA has merged its 378 services into 99.

Khalifa Al Mazrouei, undersecretary of the DMA, said yesterday that the department has made improving social services one of its priorities.

The satisfaction rate with the municipal services has improved each year, he said.

In 2013, 66 per cent were satisfied in Abu Dhabi, and 85 per cent in 2014.

The DMA hopes to achieve 90 per cent satisfaction rate this year.

The municipality will also sharpen focus on building licensing, infrastructure and roads developments, lands and property, parks, social and health services, and investment.

Mr Al Mazrouei said the municipality will hold meetings to assess community requirements and include those in planning.
