ABU DHABI // The King of Morocco and Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince attended the official opening of the Galleria Shopping Mall on Al Maryah Island on Tuesday night.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, was joined by King Mohammed VI of Morocco for a tour of the 33,000 square metre mall.
Sheikh Mohammed and King Mohammed were also briefed on the services offered at the shopping centre, which features 130 retail stores and restaurants.
King Mohammed is visiting the UAE to honour “the strong fraternal ties” between the two countries, the state news agency Wam reported.
They were also joined by Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon, chairman of the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, and Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, undersecretary of the Crown Prince’s Court.
