ABU DHABI // The body of Sultan Saeed Mohammed Al Mazrouei arrived in the country on Sunday aboard a military plane, accompanied by officers and non-commissioned officers.

Al Mazrouei was killed when an Armed Forces military vehicle overturned in Yemen on Saturday. The body was accorded a special military honour at the airport, reported Wam, the state news agency.

The General Command of the Armed Forces had announced the death of Al Mazrouei, who passed away while participating in the Saudi-led Operation Restoring Hope in Yemen.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Foreign Minister, offered condolences on Sunday to the family of Abdulsalam Abdulkarim Abdulrahim Al Fuqaha in Al Ain, who also died while participating in Operation Restoring Hope.

Sheikh Abdullah expressed deep condolences and sincere sympathy to Al Fuqaha’s children, and prayed to Allah to rest him in Paradise.

Since June, more than 60 UAE servicemen have died while participating in the operation.
