Abu Dhabi Police have called upon the public to avoid accident sites to ensure the safety of all involved.

Lt Col Mohammed Al Ameri, head of the Emergency and Public Safety Department at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, said that crowding near accident sites is disruptive and can impede traffic and prevent rescue, ambulance and firefighting teams from carrying out their duties.

He said that despite repeated urging, some community members still insist on gathering around accident sites, which makes the jobs of first responders more difficult.
