DUBAI // A group a Dubai Municipality labourers enjoyed a dinner cruise on the creek on Monday.
More than 50 municipality workers boarded a dhow at Al Boom Tourist Village and enjoyed a dinner as they toured the creek.
Officials from the Municipality were on hand to give out gifts to each of the workers.
The trip was organised in response to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid's request that the anniversary of his accession as ruler of Dubai this year be dedicated to thanking and honouring workers - the "unknown soldiers" of the UAE.
Dubai Municipality also handed out phone credit recharge cards to show their appreciation to workers.

It then dropped to an estimated 111,000 in the year to June 2020 when restrictions introduced during the pandemic limited travel and movement.
