FUJAIRAH // Four Emiratis died on Saturday after being overcome by toxic fumes.
S R, 50, his two sons, A R, 23, and A R, 24, and S R’s son-in law, M S, 37, died after inhaling fumes from chemicals they were using to clean a septic tank, police said.
The incident occurred at around 9am on Saturday morning at S R’s home in Dibba.
According to police, the group ran into trouble after one of the men entered the tank to rescue the 50-year-old, before finding himself in need of assistance. The other two victims then followed in their attempt to save their family members.
All four died en route to Dibba Hospital.
An investigation has been launched into the incident.
