DETROIT // Not only is Ford building more smaller, fuel-efficient cars, but it's also looking at cleaning up its US dealerships. The car company has partnered with Rocky Mountain Institute, a leading energy-efficiency organisation, to offer a voluntary dealer sustainability programme to help improve the energy efficiency of its dealerships. Under the plan, dealers will have to pay for the upgrades themselves, but Ford will help with advice on taxes as well as guidance on what energy-efficient steps to take and equipment to purchase.
