Ten labour caravans were destroyed after a major fire broke out in Dubai on Wednesday night.

The fire tore through a the site, owned by Nakheel, in Al Warsan, a Dubai Civil Defence official said.

Civil Defence received a report about the blaze at 7.17pm, the spokesman said.

Port Saeed and Al Qusais fire stations each dispatched fire engines which extinguished the blaze within fifteen minutes.

Brigadier Rashid Buflsa, assistant general director for fire and rescue department at Dubai Police, managed the operation.

No injuries were reported.
